USPA NEWS - PARIS PHOTO, the World's Largest International Art Fair dedicated to the Photographic Medium, will hold its 21st Edition November 9th through 12th, 2017 at the Historic Grand Palais in Paris. The Annual Event for Collectors, Professionals, Artists, and Enthusiasts, Paris Photo offers to its Visitors the most qualitative and diverse Selection of Artworks alongside an Ambitious Public Programme with Leading Figures in the Field.
PARIS PHOTO, the World's Largest International Art Fair dedicated to the Photographic Medium, will hold its 21st Edition November 9th through 12th, 2017 at the Historic Grand Palais in Paris. The Annual Event for Collectors, Professionals, Artists, and Enthusiasts, Paris Photo offers to its Visitors the most qualitative and diverse Selection of Artworks alongside an Ambitious Public Programme with Leading Figures in the Field. With environ 60 000 Visitors each year,

Over 180 Galleries and Publishers will present a Complete Panorama of the History of Photography : from Vintage and Modern Works to Contemporary Creations, Rare and Limited Editions, and Avant-Premiere Book Releases. The PRISMES Sector, launched in 2015 in the prestigious Salon d'Honneur, will feature a curated presentation of Large Format, Series, and Video and/or Installation Works.
PARIS PHOTO is the occasion for Visitors to expand their Knowledge of the Medium thanks to Exhibitions, Awards, Signature Sessions, Special Events, and Talks and Discussions with Artists, Curators, Critics, and Historians. PARIS PHOTO's Partners : J.P. Morgan with an Exhibition of Major Works from the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, and BMW with the Presentation of the Laureate of the BMW Residency.
2017 PUBLIC PROGRAM

* The Platform : Talks and conversations. An Experimental Forum proposing over the course of 4 days, a Series of Interviews, Testimonies and Discussions.

* Helga De Alvear Collection : Private Collection. A selection of Photographs and Videos from the Helga de Alvear Collection.

* J.P Morgan Private Bank Presents : PHOTOPLAY - Lucid Objects Exhibition.

* BMW presents Dune Varela. Laureate of the BMW Residency 2016, Dune Varela Works on Landscapes and their Representation.

* Inspiring Action : Pernod Ricard seen by Martin Schoeller - Exhibition. Martin Schoeller portrays 18 Pernod Ricard Employees for the Group´s 42nd Artistic Campaign.

* Prix Leica Oskar Barnack 2016 Exhibition. Celebrating 10 years of Partnership, Leica exhibits for the first time the Leica Oskar Barnack Award laureates.
* Huawei Photo Academy : Exhibition. In Paris Photo, Huawei presents an Original and Digital Exhibition with Renowned International Photographers.

* Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Photo Award. On the occasion of the 25 years of the Pink Ribbon, Paris Photo welcomes the Finalists and Laureates of the Estée Lauder Pink Ribbon Photo Award.

* MK2 Grand Palais : Film and Video Cycle. Paris Photo launches a Film and Video Cycle that will be held at MK2 Grand Palais (located within the Grand Palais).

* On-air Programming with Radio Nova : Photography in Words. Beginning October 25, Leading Figures in Photography will be invited daily to describe an Image on Radio Nova.

* Artists Talks by The Eyes Magazine. A program of Short Exchange organized by The Eyes Magazine, dedicated to the Photographic Object and its Author.

* The Photobook Awards. Celebrating the Book's Contribution to the Evolving Narrative.

* Carte Blanche - Students 2017 Exhibition. Paris Photo, Picto Foundation, and SNCF Gares & Connexions partner to launch a Platform in Promotion of the Discovery of Outstanding Young Talent.
Karl LAGERFELD, Guest Of Honour At PARIS PHOTO 2017. Through a Selection of Personal Favourites from among the thousands of Artworks on Show and a Special Edition Book published by Steidl, Karl Lagerfeld shares his Vision of the Fair. Karl Lagerfeld, Fashion Designer, Publisher and Book Dealer, began working as a Photographer in 1987. Lagerfeld has since received the Cultural Prize from the German Photographic Society and the ҬICP Trustee Award from the International Centre of Photography.
